Nicola James Capaldi, an influential English singer-songwriter and drummer, had a career spanning over four decades. He co-founded the progressive rock band Traffic in 1967 with Steve Winwood and co-wrote much of the band’s material. Capaldi was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Traffic’s original lineup. He collaborated with notable musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and George Harrison. As a solo artist, he achieved chart success with hits such as “That’s Love” and his cover of “Love Hurts”.
