Jerrold Lewis Nadler is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York’s 12th congressional district since 2023. He is a member of the Democratic Party and was first elected to Congress in 1992. Nadler chaired the House Judiciary Committee from 2019 to 2023 and is currently in his 17th term in Congress. Prior to his Congressional career, he served multiple terms as a New York State Assemblyman. Nadler is recognized as the dean of New York’s U.S. House delegation.
