James Rubin is an American ex-diplomat and journalist who held the position of U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs during the Clinton Administration. He contributed a regular column on foreign affairs to The Sunday Times of London. Subsequently, Rubin hosted his own show titled World News Tonight on Sky News. He later shifted to a commentator role for the same channel. In 2022, he was named Special Envoy and Coordinator of the State Department’s Global Engagement Center.
