Jack Burke Jr. was a highly successful American professional golfer in the 1950s, winning two major titles in 1956 – the Masters and PGA Championship. He won a total of 16 PGA Tour events between 1950 and 1963, with notable victories in consecutive weeks in 1952. Burke was a key member of the American Ryder Cup teams from 1951 to 1959, serving as both playing and non-playing captain. In 1957, he co-founded the prestigious Champions Golf Club in Houston, which has hosted significant golf events.
