Jack Brabham, an Australian racing driver, is known for founding the Brabham racing team and car constructor. He started his racing career with midget cars in Australia and New Zealand before relocating to Britain to enhance his success. Brabham was a key member of the Cooper Car Company’s racing team and played a role in developing mid-engined cars for Formula One. In 1962, he co-founded the Brabham marque with Ron Tauranac, which became a prominent custom racing car manufacturer. Brabham achieved Formula One world championship victories in 1959, 1960, and 1966, the latter while driving one of his own cars.
