Iryna Merleni is a highly accomplished Ukrainian wrestler with a successful career. She has won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the – 48 kg weight class. Additionally, she is a three-time world champion and has won the European Championships once. In 2023, she was honored by being inducted into the Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame. Currently residing in Sweden, she works as a wrestling coach and is actively involved in the local wrestling community.
