Howard Schnellenberger had an impressive career as a football coach in both professional and college settings. He was a head coach for the NFL’s Baltimore Colts and for several universities, including Miami, Oklahoma, Louisville, and Florida Atlantic. Schnellenberger notably led Miami to a national championship in 1983. He also served as an assistant coach for the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins and played a significant role in recruiting Joe Namath to Alabama in 1961 under Bear Bryant’s coaching.
