Herb Alpert is a renowned American trumpeter who led the band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass in the 1960s. He also co-founded A&M Records during that time. Alpert has achieved significant success with 28 albums on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, five of which reached No. 1. He is the only musician to top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 as both a vocalist and an instrumentalist. With an estimated 72 million records sold worldwide, Alpert has received numerous awards, including Grammys and a Tony Award. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the National Medal of Arts in 2013.
