Henry Doyle Haynes was a well-known American comedy entertainer and musician recognized for his talent as a country and jazz guitarist. He co-founded the duo Homer and Jethro with Kenneth C. Burns, and they achieved popularity through their performances on radio and television. Their collaborative efforts resulted in over 50 albums, a Grammy Award for best comedy performance in 1959, and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. Haynes also served in the US Army during World War II and continued his successful music career until his passing in 1971.
