Initially gaining recognition by covering his father’s songs, he went on to develop his own distinctive sound. In 1975, Williams Jr.’s career faced a setback due to a serious accident, but he successfully returned to the country rock scene afterwards. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he excels at playing guitar, bass, steel guitar, banjo, and more. In recognition of his contributions to country music, Williams Jr. was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2020.
