Gordie Howe, nicknamed “Mr. Hockey,” was a legendary Canadian professional ice hockey player. He had an illustrious career spanning 26 seasons in the NHL and six seasons in the WHA, mainly with the Detroit Red Wings. Howe was renowned for his exceptional versatility on the ice and set numerous records in goals, assists, and points. Throughout his career, he earned multiple Art Ross Trophies, Stanley Cups, and Hart Trophies. After a brief retirement in 1971, Howe made a comeback to play alongside his sons in the WHA, continuing to leave a lasting impact on the sport until his final retirement in 1980.
