He established influential journals such as Athenaeum and later returned to Christianity. In 1809, Schlegel relocated to Austria, where he worked as a diplomat and journalist. His significant contributions to the Romantic movement, Indo-European studies, and comparative linguistics have had a lasting impact on scholars and composers.
