Frank Chapot, a renowned American equestrian, had a prolific career spanning decades. He competed at six consecutive Olympic Games, winning two silver medals in team show jumping. From 1980 to 2004, Chapot served as chef d’equipe of the American equestrian team, leading them to their first Olympic team gold in 1984. He also coached the American show jumping team for nearly four decades, breeding and training the champion showjumper Gem Twist. Later in his career, Chapot transitioned to jump course designing and judging, earning accolades such as the USEF’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
