Emerson Fittipaldi, a Brazilian former automobile racing driver, enjoyed a successful career in both Formula One and the American CART series. He secured the Formula One World Championship twice, first in 1972 with Team Lotus and then in 1974 with McLaren. Fittipaldi also excelled in the American CART series, clinching the championship in 1989 and triumphing at the prestigious Indianapolis 500 twice. Following his retirement from Indy Car racing in 1996, he remained active in racing, occasionally participating, and even had a Corvette production car named after him.
