Elbrus Tedeyev is a Ukrainian wrestler and Olympic champion, having won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He is a three-time world champion in wrestling. In addition to his sports achievements, Tedeyev has also been involved in politics, serving as a People’s Deputy of Ukraine. He was elected in 2006 as an independent politician on the party list of Party of Regions and was reelected in 2007 and 2012.
