Elbert Hubbard was a prominent American writer, publisher, artist, and philosopher. He gained recognition for establishing the Roycroft artisan community in East Aurora, New York, which was a key contributor to the Arts and Crafts movement. Hubbard produced several notable works, such as the fourteen-volume series Little Journeys to the Homes of the Great and the influential publication A Message to Garcia. Tragically, his career was ended prematurely when he died aboard the RMS Lusitania in 1915.
