Edward Ralph Dexter, CBE, also known as “Lord Ted,” was a celebrated England international cricketer renowned for his aggressive middle-order batting and right-arm medium bowling skills. He served as captain for both Sussex and the England national team during the early 1960s, leading England in 30 of his 62 test match appearances. Dexter played a pivotal role in the evolution of the modern ICC Player Rankings system. His remarkable contributions to the sport were honored with his induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in June 2021 as a special inductee during the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final.
