Edward Werenich is a Canadian curler known for his colorful personality and outspoken nature. He started his curling career at a young age and went on to participate in numerous Briers. In 1983, Werenich claimed the Brier title and later the World Curling Championships. Throughout his career, he faced challenges, including being threatened with disqualification during the 1987 Olympic Curling Trials. Werenich retired from curling in 2000 but made a comeback in 2004, showcasing his passion for the sport. He was honored with inductions into both the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame and the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame alongside his teammates.
