Dmitry Vladimirovich Vasilyev is a former Russian biathlete known for his success at the Winter Olympics. He achieved gold medals with the Soviet relay team at the 1984 and 1988 Games. Vasilyev also demonstrated his skill by winning a 20 km individual World Cup race in Holmenkollen during the 1982–83 season. In 2023, he made headlines by accusing Norwegian biathletes of doping, attributing their support for Russia’s exclusion from the Olympics to this alleged misconduct.
