David Robinson, known as “the Admiral” for his Navy service, is a retired American professional basketball player who had an illustrious career with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. He was a 10-time NBA All-Star, 1995 NBA MVP, two-time NBA champion, and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist. Robinson is considered one of the greatest centers in basketball history and has been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. He is also honored on the NBA’s Anniversary Teams.
