David M. Pollack is a former American NFL player who went on to become a college football analyst. He was a standout linebacker at the University of Georgia, earning multiple All-American honors and being recognized as the nation’s top college defensive player. Pollack had a remarkable collegiate career, recording 36 sacks, which placed him third in NCAA history. Despite being drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, his professional career was cut short due to a career-ending neck injury in his second season. Subsequently, Pollack transitioned to a successful career as a college football analyst for ESPN from 2011 to 2023.
