David Packard was an American electrical engineer and co-founder of Hewlett-Packard. He held key leadership roles, including president, CEO, and chairman of the board. Packard also served as U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense, president of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and chairman of its board of regents. Additionally, he was a member of the Trilateral Commission and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1988. Packard was recognized for his technological innovations and philanthropic contributions.
