David Allen Johnson, a former Olympic decathlete from the United States, earned a bronze medal in the decathlon at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Following his athletic career, he shifted to education, working as a school teacher and administrator. Johnson then moved into sports administration, serving as the athletic director of Corban University in Salem, Oregon. He later took on a position as Director with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Oregon, concentrating on mentoring and coaching young athletes. Presently, he coaches pole vault and hurdles at South Salem High School.
