Dan Wheldon, a British motor racing driver, achieved success in the IndyCar Series. He became the champion in 2005 and triumphed at the Indianapolis 500 in 2005 and 2011. Additionally, he claimed victory at the 2006 24 Hours of Daytona. Wheldon raced for esteemed teams such as Andretti Green Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, and Panther Racing, securing numerous race wins and podium finishes. Sadly, he passed away in a fatal accident during the 2011 season-ending race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
