Christopher Poole, known as moot, is an American Internet entrepreneur and developer. He founded the anonymous imageboard 4chan in 2003 and served as its head administrator until 2015. Poole also created the online community Canvas, which was operational from 2011 to 2014. He later worked at Google as a product manager for the Google+ social network before departing in 2021. Poole has been engaged in internet communities and social networking platforms throughout his career.
