Charles Haddon Spurgeon, a prominent English Particular Baptist preacher, earned the title “Prince of Preachers” for his influence. He staunchly defended the Reformed Baptist tradition and opposed liberal theological trends. Spurgeon served as pastor at the New Park Street Chapel, later the Metropolitan Tabernacle, in London for 38 years. He actively supported the less fortunate by establishing an Almshouse and orphanage. Spurgeon also founded Spurgeon’s College and was known for his insightful sermons, books, commentaries, hymns, and poetry.
