Chrysostomos Loizos “Max” Nikias is a prominent Cypriot-American academic who served as the 11th President of the University of Southern California. Since 1991, he has held various leadership positions at USC, including professor, director, dean, and provost. Nikias has chaired the College Football Playoff Board of Managers, the board of the Keck Medical Center, and served on other boards. While facing controversy over his handling of sexual assault allegations, an independent investigation did not implicate him.
