Bob Hayes, also known as “Bullet Bob,” was an accomplished American sprinter and professional football player. He excelled in both fields, earning gold medals at the 1964 Summer Olympics and playing as a split end for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL for 11 seasons. Hayes is the only athlete to have achieved the remarkable feat of winning both an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl ring. His achievements led to his induction into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor in 2001 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009. Known for his incredible speed, Hayes set world records in various sprint distances during his career.
