Baird’s influence also reached the film industry, where he collaborated with his wife on renowned puppet sequences, such as “The Lonely Goatherd” in The Sound of Music. He wrote The Art of the Puppet and contributed his puppetry skills to various projects, including Dark Shadows and a musical version of Pinocchio.
