Bernard co-founded the Knights Templar and outlined their Rule at the Council of Troyes. He supported Pope Innocent II during a church schism and advocated for crusades, including the Second Crusade. Bernard was canonized as a saint and later recognized as a Doctor of the Church for his eloquence and contributions.
