Career
Ashleigh Aston Moore started her career at a very young age and grabbed a lot of television commercials as a child model. She was just four years old when she got her first commercial and by the age of eleven, she had received her first role on television. Moore was offered the dual roles of ‘Alpha’ and ‘Donna’ in the children’s adventure-fantasy television show ‘The Odyssey’. She appeared in the show between 1992 and 1994, in a total of 37 episodes. During that time period, Moore appeared in three television films, ‘Liar, Liar’, ‘Family of Strangers’, and ‘Sin & Redemption’; in all three of these television films, she was credited as Ashley Rogers.
In ‘Liar, Liar’ (1993), she appeared as ‘Jean “Nini” Farrow’ and impressed the audience with her acting. For her role of ‘Megan’ in the television movie ‘Family of Strangers’ (1993), Moore won a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the Gemini Awards. In the next two years, Moore appeared in two television shows, ‘Madison’ and ‘Northern Exposure’, in guest roles.
Her next big break came in 1995, when she was cast in the coming-of-age film ‘Now and Then’ alongside Christina Ricci, Thora Birch, Melanie Griffith, Rosie O’Donnell, Gaby Hoffmann, and Demi Moore. She portrayed the character of ‘Chrissy DeWitt’ in the film. Even though the movie failed to receive many positive reviews from the critics, it was liked by the audience.
Moore again appeared alongside Christina Ricci in the 1995 adventure and drama film ‘Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain,’ where she played the role of ‘Tracy Briggs’. In 1996, she appeared in the thriller film ‘The Grave’ and also made an appearance in the television show ‘Strange Luck’ as ‘Heather Rehne’. Her last television appearance was as Abby in the series ‘Touched by an Angel’ in 1997.

Ashleigh Aston Moore was born in Sunnyvale, California, on September 30, 1981, to Cynthia Moore and James Moore. Moore’s mother, who was a certified nursing assistant, raised her all by herself as her father was never around. Young Ashleigh was encouraged by her mother to follow her dream of becoming an actress. After quitting her acting career, Moore moved to Canada where her extended family lived. She died a few years later on December 11, 2007, at the age of 26, due to complications caused by pneumonia and bronchitis.
