Arthur Rudolph was a German rocket engineer known for his leadership in developing the V-2 rocket for Nazi Germany. Following World War II, he was brought to the U.S. under Operation Paperclip and played a significant role in the American space program. Rudolph collaborated with both the U.S. Army and NASA, overseeing projects such as the Pershing missile and the Saturn V Moon rocket. However, in 1984, he renounced his U.S. citizenship and departed to evade war crimes prosecution.
