Andy Holmes, a British rower, had a successful career, competing in two Olympic Games. He won gold medals in the men’s coxed four in 1984 and men’s coxless pair in 1988, as well as a bronze in the coxed pair. He also represented England in the 1986 Commonwealth Games, winning competitions in the coxed four and coxless pair. Holmes retired from rowing in 1990 and passed away in 2010 due to Weil’s disease.
