Alice Coltrane was a versatile American jazz musician, composer, and bandleader revered for her skills as both a pianist and harpist. She made a lasting impact on the jazz world with her diverse and spiritual jazz music, releasing several albums in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Transitioning towards spiritual education in the mid-1970s, she founded the Vedantic Center and Shanti Anantam ashram. After a hiatus, she returned to music, recording albums of Hindu devotional songs and spiritual jazz before releasing her final album in 2004.
