Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach was a German industrialist associated with the family company, Friedrich Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp. During World War II, the company provided weapons and supplies to the German Government and Wehrmacht. Krupp assumed sole ownership in 1943 through a decree by Adolf Hitler. His use of forced labor during the war resulted in the “Krupp Trial” and a three-year prison term. Following his death in 1967, control of the company was transferred to the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation, a charitable organization.
