Akhtar Mohammad Mansour was an Afghan militant best remembered for leading Taliban from 29 July 2015 until his death on 21 May 2016. He was killed in Balochistan, Pakistan in a US drone strike. After his death, Hibatullah Akhundzada succeeded him as the new leader of Taliban.
