Agrippina the Elder, a member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, supported her husband Germanicus during his career, accompanying him and their children on his various assignments. After Germanicus’s death, Agrippina advocated for her sons, Nero and Drusus Caesar, which resulted in conflict with the influential Praetorian prefect Lucius Aelius Sejanus. This led to their exile in AD 29, and Agrippina passed away due to starvation in AD 33.
