He was known as “Captain Hook” by the UK tabloid press because of his prosthetic hook devices. In 2004, he was arrested after facing extradition requests from the United States. He was convicted in a British court for inciting violence and extradited to the US in 2012 to face terrorism charges. In 2014, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2015.
