Aaliyah Jay created her channel ‘MsAaliyahJay’ on November 15, 2011. However, she did not post any videos on it for almost a year. Her first video, titled ‘Daily Make Up Routine’, was posted on October 1, 2012. Her next upload was the video titled ‘’No make-up’ Make Up Trick (tutorial)’, which was posted on April 29, 2013. This then set the tone for her channel. On 4 August, she uploaded a “get ready with me” video. As time went on, her content started to become more diversified. She put out her first DIY video on December 15, 2014. On January 15, 2015, she published her first Q&A video. She posted her first official vlog, titled ‘VLOG – Flawless Face Makeup Seminar by Aaliyah’, on February 10, 2015. Since then, she has established herself as one of the most prominent beauty gurus on the platform.
