John Wetton was a talented English musician, singer, and songwriter recognized for his skillful right-handed bass playing and powerful baritone vocals. He had an extensive career, beginning with groups such as Family and King Crimson and later joining Roxy Music, Uriah Heep, U.K., and Wishbone Ash. In 1981, he helped establish the supergroup Asia, which found great success with their first album selling 10 million copies globally. Wetton also worked with Geoff Downes in the duo “Icon” and had a thriving solo career.
