Robert Allen McAdoo Jr. is a former American professional basketball player and coach with a 21-season career. He primarily played as a center in the NBA for 14 seasons, where he won two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. McAdoo was a five-time NBA All-Star, NBA MVP in 1975, and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000. Additionally, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. McAdoo also achieved success in Europe by winning the FIBA European Champions Cup and later won NBA titles as an assistant coach with the Miami Heat.
