He was globally recognized for his expertise in rescuing and rehabilitating abused primates, as well as for his role in enforcing international treaties protecting these animals from illegal trade and experimentation. In 2006, Cronin was awarded an honorary MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for his significant contributions to animal welfare.
