Yoshie Takeshita is a retired Japanese volleyball player who played for JT Marvelous and served as the head coach of the Japanese volleyball team Victorina Himeji. She also played for the All-Japan women’s volleyball team and participated in the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2012. Known as the “World’s smallest and strongest setter,” Takeshita was the captain of the Japanese volleyball team during the 2006 World Championship and received the Most Valuable Player award. After retiring, she became an Executive Adviser and a member of the directors of the Japan Volleyball Association.
