Brian Williams, an American retired journalist and television news anchor, started his career as a correspondent for NBC Nightly News in 1993. He eventually became the anchor and managing editor in 2004. However, in 2015, he was suspended for misrepresenting events during the Iraq War, which resulted in his permanent removal from NBC Nightly News. Subsequently, he was reassigned as the breaking news anchor for MSNBC before becoming the host of The 11th Hour in 2016. Williams announced his departure from MSNBC and NBC News in 2021.
