Brooks Stevens was a well-known American industrial designer who made significant contributions in home furnishings, appliances, automobiles, passenger railroad cars, motorcycles, graphic design, and styling. He established Brooks Stevens, Inc. in Allenton, Wisconsin and co-founded the Industrial Designers Society of America in 1944 with Raymond Loewy and others.
