Amélie Mauresmo, a former French tennis world No. 1 player, has had a successful career spanning 15 years. She achieved major victories at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, won a silver medal at the Athens Olympics, and also claimed the singles title at the WTA Tour Championships. Known for her powerful one-handed backhand and formidable net play, Mauresmo retired from professional tennis in 2009. In recognition of her achievements, she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2015. More recently, Mauresmo assumed the role of tournament director at the French Open in 2021.
