Camille Muffat, a highly accomplished French swimmer renowned for her expertise in individual medley and freestyle events, represented the Olympic Nice Natation club from 2005 to 2014. She achieved significant success at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, securing a gold medal in the 400m freestyle, silver in the 200m freestyle, and bronze in the 4x200m freestyle relay. Her remarkable performance made her the fourth French swimmer to win an individual Olympic gold medal and the third French athlete to claim three Olympic medals at a single edition of the Games. Tragically, she passed away at the age of 25 during the filming of a TV reality show in a helicopter collision.
