He authored well-known works in Sanskrit, Awadhi, and Braj Bhasha, such as the Hanuman Chalisa and the epic Ramcharitmanas. Tulsidas resided in Banaras and Ayodhya, where he established the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and introduced Ramlila plays. Considered one of the greatest poets in Hindi and global literature, his impact is visible in various realms of Indian art, culture, and society, including Ramlila plays, classical music, popular music, and television series.
