Ursula Kuczynski, a German Communist activist, spied for the Soviet Union in the 1930s and 1940s under various aliases such as Ruth Werner, Ursula Beurton, and Ursula Hamburger. She notably handled nuclear scientist Klaus Fuchs and later relocated to East Germany in 1950. Kuczynski authored several books on espionage, including the popular autobiography “Sonjas Rapport”, using the cover names “Sonja” or “Sonya” during her covert operations as advised by intelligence operative Richard Sorge.
