Erin Jackson is an accomplished American speed skater and roller derby player. She made history as the first Black woman to win a Winter Olympic gold medal in an individual sport. Jackson has competed in various inline speed skating events, including The World Games 2017. She also qualified for and competed in the long track speed skating event at the 2018 Winter Olympics. In November 2021, she achieved a significant milestone by winning her first Speedskating World Cup races in Poland, setting two track records. Jackson continued her success by winning a gold medal at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, becoming the first Black American woman to medal in speed skating.
